Spring Cleaning 101
Spring cleaning. The end results create a feeling of "ahhh..." Getting there? Well that's a little more "ugh." But don't stress! If you pace yourself, spring cleaning is surprisingly manageable.

Simplify spring cleaning with our "Spring Cleaning 101" checklist. It will help you to set your own schedule and enjoy a cleaner, germ-free home this season.

"Spring Cleaning 101" Checklist:

Kitchen Bathroom
Clean and disinfect surfaces.

BONUS TIP: Disinfect kitchen surfaces and appliances with a sanitizing agent like LYSOL® Disinfectant Spray or LYSOL® Sanitizing Wipes in order to kill harmful kitchen bacteria like E. coli and Salmonella as well as and cold and flu viruses.

Wash the sink.
Clean out the refrigerator and wipe down shelves.

Wash linens, drapes and blinds.
Mop the floor.
Dust ceilings, vents and fans.
Wash linens, shower curtain, draperies, blinds.
Replace shower curtain liner.
Scrub shower and tub.
Clean inside and outside of toilet.
Clean out inside of medicine cab and linen closet.
Clean mirror.
BONUS TIP: Use newspaper* to wipe away window cleaner and avoid streaking.
Clean and disinfect trash can.
Mop the floor.

Living Room

Dust corners, walls and ceiling fans, as well as hanging art and photographs.
Dust and clean out couches and chairs.
Clean carpets and rugs.
BONUS TIP: If your carpets experience high traffic, it may be worth it to call in the professionals on this one.
Dust accent lamps, tables, entertainment center and knickknacks.
